One of only five solar-powered carousels in the world, and of those, the only one made and restored right here on the Niagara Frontier, the Solar-Powered Buffalo Heritage Carousel pays tribute to Western New York’s history of leadership in sustainability and innovation; our manufacturing heritage; and our commitment to historic preservation— showcasing the very best of what Buffalo has to offer, all wrapped up in a beautiful, joyful package located at the terminus of the Erie Canal. Beyond all this, the carousel provides joy to children and individuals of all ages and abilities, no matter their ability to pay.
