Special Needs Groups
An important part of the Buffalo Heritage Carousel’s mission is to ensure that the joy and inspiration the Carousel provides is accessible to all. With that goal in mind, the Carousel is outfitted with a unique chariot that accommodates wheelchair riders. Our staff is trained to assist for a safe and pleasurable experience.
Additionally, the Carousel offers quiet rides for our guests with auditory sensitivity. Quiet rides and earphones are available upon request. The Carousel provides dedicated quiet rides every Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. when the Carousel opens to the general public.
We welcome groups by reservation. Quiet rides and other special needs groups are invited to reserve a group ride experience in order to ensure a private ride with the assistance of docents who are former special educators who also share the history of the Carousel in an engaging way.
